Call for Special Session Proposals

The Scientific Committee of the 2nd Joint Meeting Brazil-Italy in Mathematics invites proposals for special sessions to be held at this meeting.

Since one of the aims of this joint meeting is to promote cooperation between Brazilian and Italian mathematicians, each special session should have no more than 3 organizers, including at least one from Brazil and one from Italy.

Every special session is scheduled over 1 or 2 days and consists of at least 8 talks and no more than 12. Each talk is 30 minutes long (25’+5′).

We promote diversity in terms of gender and origin (Italians and Brazilians are encouraged) among speakers, who can participate in up to two special sessions.

The proposal should include:

  • the title of the session
  • the names, affiliations, and email addresses of the organizers, with one organizer designated as the “contact person”
  • the primary MSC# of the topic of the session
  • a brief description of the topic of the session
  • a tentative list of people to be invited to speak in the session, including the country where each is working.

Call for Special Session proposals is closed. The Scientific Committee expects to announce decisions on approved special sessions by the end of February.
