- Antonino Morassi (University of Udine, Italy)
MSC codes: 35R30
Description: Inverse problems concern the reconstruction of unknown quantities from indirect observations and arise in a wide range of applications, including medical imaging, non-destructive testing, geophysical exploration, and finance. Research in inverse problems draws on techniques from mathematical analysis, differential geometry, numerical analysis, machine learning, and scientific computing. This special session aims to bring together leading experts and young researchers from across Brazil and Italy to share their latest insights and advancements in inverse problems. The session will highlight recent theoretical and computational developments, with a focus on their applications in industry. By fostering dialogue and collaboration between researchers and industry professionals, this session seeks to promote the development of innovative solutions to real-world problems.
