As posted on this web site, the registration to social events was closed on May 8 due to logistics. Only the participants who booked for social events before this date may join them and are required to show their conference badge. In case of reservations for companions, you will receive an “orange companion badge” in the envelope with the conference badge.

The first social event is at the Orto Botanico (Botanical Garden), Via Lincoln 2,  on July 23 at 7:30 pm. You will be served drinks and light appetizers, so you will start to enjoy the cuisine of Sicily.

From Viale Delle Scienze you can reach Palermo Centrale by the metro. From there the Orto Botanico is less than 10 minutes walking. There are also some buses (109, 234) from the campus to the Botanical Garden.   You might check on Google maps.

The second social event will be at Parco Villa Filippina , Piazza San Francesco di Paola 18,  on July 25 at 8:00 pm.  You will be entertained by jazz music while having drinks and finger food. The people who booked for this social event will find blue tickets for food and drink in the registration envelope.

The Villa is in walking distance from the metro station Palermo Lolli.
