Description:

The study of fluid motion from the mathematical viewpoint is an interdisciplinary research topic which is both classical, active and relevant for applications in many fields of science and technology. We showcase recent work in this area, with an emphasis on research which combines mathematical analysis and physical insight. This is a characteristic of the deep legacy of Prof. Carlo Marchioro, to whose memory we dedicate this special session.
