Venue
The conference will be held at the Centro Didattico Morgagni (CDM), located at Viale Morgagni 40-44, Florence.
The CDM is one of the most modern and well-equipped teaching facilities of the University of Florence. Situated in the north-west area of the city, close to the Careggi Hospital, the CDM offers spacious and comfortable areas, perfectly suited for academic events and international-level conferences. Well-connected to the city centre by public transport and a short distance from the main city infrastructures, the Centro Didattico Morgagni represents the ideal location for the III UMI Meeting for Doctoral Students.
How to reach the venue
✈️ By Plane
From Florence “Amerigo Vespucci” Airport
- By Taxi: Approximately 15 minutes travel time, depending on traffic.
- By Tram: Take Line T2 in the direction of Unità and get off at the Poggetto stop. From there, the CDM is about a 10-minute walk.
- By Car: Take Viale Giovanni Luder, continue onto Viale Francesco Redi, and follow signs for Viale Morgagni. Parking is available near the venue.
🚗 By Car
- From the North (A1 Motorway): Exit at Firenze Nord and follow the signs for the city centre and then for Ospedale di Careggi (Careggi Hospital). Continue onto Viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni until number 40.
- From the South (A1 Motorway): Exit at Firenze Sud, continue towards the city centre, and follow the signs for Ospedale di Careggi (Careggi Hospital).
🚆 By Train
From Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) Station
- By Tram: Take Line T1 in the direction of Careggi-Ospedale and get off at the Morgagni-Università stop, which is a short walk from the conference venue.
- By Taxi: The ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
- By Bus: Take Line 14A or 14B (direction Careggi) from the stop near the station. Get off at the Morgagni stop, which is a few metres from the venue.
