A central theme is the derivation of optimal energy decay rates, which depend critically on the nature of the dissipation. We invite contributions on a wide range of models, including: Solid Mechanics: Viscoelastic damping with memory kernels, and thermoelastic damping via thermal diffusion; Fluid Mechanics: The Navier-Stokes equations and models for complex fluids; Coupled Systems: Such as fluid-structure interactions.
